Where Do I Start??

Well I've been M.I.A. for a few weeks and so much has happened I don't know where to start. Here's a brief rundown:

For the first week of July we were still up in Corona with Greg. On the spur of the moment we took Brayden to Disneyland and he loved every second of it. There'll be more to follow later on that. The second week of July I spent up at my family's cabin. It's a real cabin, so there's not electricity or phone, let alone internet. While I was up there, I found out that Greg was promoted and we were moving!! In less than two weeks. To sandy, Utah.

Needless to say the past two weeks have been a whirlwind. But we're finally here and semi-settled. There are still boxes everywhere, but most of the important stuff is unpack. Our house is nice and right at the mouth of little cottonwood canyon. I'm still sitting the fence on whether I love the change or not. Here's some of the reasons why
  • Pro: Greg was promoted
  • Con: To Utah. (I can't even begin to list my reservations about living in Utah. So many bad experiences in times past.)
  • Pro: I love meeting new people.
  • Con: I already miss my old friends. So does Brayden.
  • Pro: It wasn't 117 degrees here today.
  • Con: It snows. A lot.
  • Pro: Much bigger/nicer house for same price as in California
  • Con: I miss the palm trees. That's a weird one, but so true.
  • Pro: Three of my brothers and one of Greg's go to BYU
  • Con: The rest of my family is back home. What am I going to do without my mom?

The jury is still out, but I know we'll make it work. We left so quick I didn't get to say goodbye to a lot of my friends there. But it's unanimous across the board: We will miss the Jacksons the most. Out of the entire ward, they were the only one that showed up to help us load up our U-Haul. Luckily, my dad and brother showed up too. Melissa, Brayden has been praying for your entire family by name ever since we left. He especially asked that Emma could move to Utah too. You might want to get started on that. ;) I'm good at meeting new people, but I'm not too great at finding a close friend. The kind you talk to all the time and can call for backup on a really bad day. So rest assured Melissa that you won't be replaced soon. Thank you for all you've done for me and my family.

Sigh... we miss you guys too. The first time we drove past your neighborhood Emma said, "I think we should visit Brayden today". I explained to her AGAIN where you guys were at and she just stared at me and asked when you were coming back. I told her you weren't and she just rolled her eyes. She completely believes that I'm telling a great big lie and that you guys are going to be at church tomorrow... should be a great day. Alan said that he's willing to move to Utah... but you guys would have to stay there if we do... I'm just sayin! :) I'm glad to hear that the move went well, and once again, I'm sorry about the address thing. I guess it's a good thing that random people can't change your address whenever they want, right?

Omigosh, wow. Utah again, eh? This time in Sandy? Well, everything happens for a reason and I know Cali is going to miss you. Good luck with everything!

I can't believe you're back in Utah and I just moved away. I felt like I was the only one left when everyone else from the BYU days had moved away. I don't know that we'll ever be back to live there, but I'll always be back to visit Andy's family so I'll have to stop in when we come home. (Probably next April or May)
