Little Triumphs

Brayden is reading books by himself! Today he read 90% of Hop on Pop without any help. I've never seen him so excited. He won't even let me sit next to him. I thinks he loves that sense of independence. The funniest part is if he doesn't know a word he'll make one up based on the part he can read. You should have heard him reading "Constantinople and Timbuktu" at the end. I almost died trying not to laugh.

Tawny had yet another perfect potty training day. No accidents. I didn't even have to remind her a million times. This morning in the middle of playing with Brayden she said," Hold on juuuuust a second Brayden. I have to go pee in my little toilet." If only I could capture her intonation and facial expressions. It's priceless.

Brayden can swim completely 100% by himself. Jumping off the diving board included. Way to go!

I reorganized my closet and found things I forgot I even had. I've only lived in this house for eight months. How did it get so cluttered?

Still waiting to close on our house. No triumphs here. Not yet at least. We're set to close on September 25th, but we'll see what happens. It's a short sale and from what I've heard, there's a million and one things that can go wrong.

Your kids are awesome! Can Brayden come and teach Emma how to swim? The girl still won't put her face in the water!

Keep us posted on all the house stuff! I hope it all works out for you guys :)

hi adena, I saw your comment on Katie's blog and wanted to see tawny since our girls are so close in age. way to go potty training. Lily hasn't started yet because she is deathly afraid of toilets. hopefully soon:) anyway good luck with the short sale. we just got into a short sale in july and ours wasn't as bad as other stories I've heard. One thing we learned is that you can have your bank call their bank and try to push it through. It worked for us. Good luck!
